This two stage diesel railbus with hydraulic transmission can carry 108 passengers, that is not counting 17 other seats at the ends of the body near the driving cabs. It is capable of reaching 63 mph. The height of this vehicle is constantly maintained by levelling valves working on pneumatic cushions of the secondary suspension. After having worked as a shunter with little adaptation to our needs, this vehicle was stationed at Neuchâtel Station , with the aim of serving Marin-Epagnier and their Papillorama. Other projects developed, without coming to fruition, but this vehicle needed costly modifications to be used in Switzerland.
Finally, two VVT engineers went to Mauritania with the aim of giving training to the local engineers. This Fiat prototype not having persuaded the FS (Italian Railways) nor the Swiss authorities, had it's engine removed and was used as a trailer car in the desert train.
